Founded in 1892 in Tendo, Yamagata, Dewazakura Sake Brewery has spent more than a century crafting sake with a strong commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Surrounded by mountains, abundant rice fields and heavy winter snowfall, the region provides an ideal environment for brewing elegant, expressive sake.
In 1980, Dewazakura became one of the first breweries in Japan to bring Ginjo sake to the wider public with its iconic Oka Ginjo. The success of Oka Ginjo helped spark the Ginjo boom and established Dewazakura as a true pioneer of premium sake.
