Ikema Distillery – The Spirit of Miyakojima

Founded in 1946 on Miyako Island, Okinawa, Ikema Distillery has been crafting authentic Ryukyu Awamori for generations. Surrounded by the subtropical beauty of Miyakojima, the distillery remains deeply rooted in the island’s culture and traditions.

Ikema is known for its careful approach to fermentation and temperature control, allowing its Awamori to develop a deep, expressive character while retaining a remarkably smooth finish. The distillery’s signature brands include Niko Niko Taro and Zuikō, with the latter also available as carefully aged Kusu.

Traditional craftsmanship, island character and patient maturation come together in Awamori that reflects the unique spirit of Miyakojima.
