Enoki Shuzo – The Art of Kijoshu

Founded in 1899 on Kurahashi Island in Hiroshima, Enoki Shuzo is a family brewery known for its adventurous approach to sake and its mastery of Kijoshu — a unique style in which sake replaces water during brewing.

Enoki Shuzo pioneered the commercial production of Kijoshu in 1974, creating rich, mellow and naturally sweet sake with remarkable depth. Their long-aged expressions can develop complex, almost wine-like character, making them a fascinating match for rich foods, cheese and even desserts.

Rooted in Hiroshima tradition but never afraid to experiment, Enoki Shuzo continues to explore the boundaries of what sake can be.
